Each item in the Box of Kindness has been carefully selected to support you during your chemotherapy treatment. Whether it’s helping you manage side effects or providing comfort, we hope these items bring you a little extra ease during a challenging time.
Snacks & Comfort
Biscuits & Chocolate
Treatment can last a few hours, so we’ve included biscuits and luxury chocolate to enjoy with your chemo buddy. A little indulgence to make the day a bit easier.
Honey
Local honey, perfect for soothing your throat and treating burns. It’s nature’s remedy with a personal touch.
Mints
To help alleviate the metallic taste chemotherapy can leave behind and ease nausea.
Snack
Dried pineapple – a comfort food that tastes the same going down as it does coming up, especially when dealing with sickness.
Tea Bags
Two tea bags – one for you and one for a loved one. Tea for two, as Lisa always believed, can help put the world to rights.

With treatment lowering immunity, keeping your hands and skin clean is crucial. These will help protect you from unwanted germs.
Moisturiser, Deodorant & Lip Balm
Treatment can dry out your skin. We’ve included products designed specifically for oncology patients to soothe and hydrate your skin.
Hat
A soft, warm hat to keep your head cosy if you experience hair loss due to treatment. It’s gentle and comforting.
Handy Band/Neck Warmer
This versatile headwear can be worn as a scarf or neck warmer if you lose your hair. Comfortable and practical.
Socks
Soft bamboo socks that are kind to your feet, especially if you’re dealing with neuropathy as a side effect of your treatment.
Shaving Soap
A locally made shaving balm included in the men’s box to care for sensitive skin while shaving during treatment.
Sun Cream
Chemotherapy can make your skin more sensitive, especially when hair loss occurs. This sun cream helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays. (this is included in the summer months)
Hand Warmers
In the winter months we include a pack of hand warmers, they could help with neuropathy or keep your hands warm on those cold winter days.

Hot flushes are a common side effect of treatment. This cooling towel helps keep you comfortable for longer by staying cooler for longer.

These wristbands may help with the nausea and sickness that can accompany chemotherapy treatment.
